Asini Fishing

Asini Fishing is an aiga-led commercial and community fishing operation established to strengthen Samoa’s food security, create sustainable employment, and generate income for local families.

At the heart of the programme is the Rae Lee, a 36-foot custom-built sailing and fishing vessel equipped for daily trolling and bottom-fishing operations.

The Rae Lee project blends traditional Pacific maritime knowledge with practical commercial fishing methods to supply high-quality fish to the local Samoan market and support the wider economic development strategy of Lumanai Pasifika.
